Few words about love …

Following Master Studies of Early Music at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, I found it very important to recreate the authentic sound of the periods when compositions were created. An awarded fortepiano player, Naruhiko Kawaguchi, also shared this passion. Together we created a duo to keep this repertoire alive. Currently, we are working on the project titles Few words about love…

The main inspiration of project is love, but also my scientific work regarding the research on musical manuscripts from the collections of the National Institute of Ossoliński in Wrocław is plays an important role. Finding nearly 50 titles of rarely performed late Romantic songs allows me to prepare a beautiful repertoire from the 19th and 20th centuries. Few words about love… is  implemented with an artistic cooperation with an outstanding Japanese pianist – Naruhiko Kawaguchi, who accompanies me on a historical instrument – pianoforte. That is why the songs characterized by the authenticity of the instrument’s sound from the turn of late romanticism. The repertoire includes vocal works of Stanisław Niewiadomski, Ignacy Nikorowicz, Józef Poleski and piano works of Maria Szymanowska and Karol Kurpiński.
