„A few words about love …” was created to recall pleasant emotions and to explore a world of beautiful and inspiring love. The recording project was born of research into the music manuscripts, preserved in the collections of the scientific libraries in Wrocław. This album comprises barely-known songs and piano music of various composers, including Stanisław Niewiadomski, Jan Gall, Paul Mittmann, Franz Liszt, Moritz Moszkowski, Theodor Leschetizky and Fryderyk Chopin. Project is implemented by soprano Aldona Bartnik, who specializes in historically informed performance and Japanese pianist Naruhiko Kawaguchi, who plays on a historical instrument which was made around 1860 in manufacture of Franz Welck. Their performance brings an authenticity of sound and style from the turn of the 20th century.
