Musical Routes of the Royal Families of Lower Silesia

Musical Routes of the Royal Families of Lower Silesia is a project dedicated to Romantic art songs composed by members of the royal families of the Hohenzollern, Nassau-Orange, and Hochberg dynasties. The history of their artistic activity is closely connected with the territory of present-day Silesia and Lower Silesia.

The repertoire features works by:
Princess Marianne of Orange,
Friedrich Wilhelm Konstantin of Hohenzollern-Hechingen,
Hans Heinrich XIV Bolko von Hochberg,
• as well as compositions by Franz Liszt, Hector Berlioz, and other composers who were guests at royal courts.

This concert offers a unique opportunity to listen to music that once resonated in the palaces of Kamieniec Ząbkowicki, Lwówek Śląski, Żagań, and Książ.
We invite you to an evening filled with history, majesty, and Romantic expression.

Listen to samples:

Bolko Graf von Hochberg (1861–1938) Dort, unter’m Lindenbaume, Op. 23, No. 2

Friedrich Wilhelm Konstantin von Hohenzollern-Hechingen (1801–1869) Siehst du am Abend die Wolken

This project was carried out with the support of a scholarship from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of Republic of Poland.
